Bill Payne
Bill Payne, from Waco Texas, is a founding member of the 70's "swamp rock" band Little Feat. A very accomplished pianist, Payne is considered one of the finest of the 70s rock pianists. His classical, jazz and barrellhouse blues influences can be heard on all of the Little Feat records, and hundreds of songs for which he performed as a studio session musician.
Some of his Little Feat compositions include "Oh Atlanta," "Time Loves A Hero," "Tripe Face Boogie," and "Gringo."
Bill has recorded with JJ Cale, The Doobie Brothers, Bryan Adams, Pink Floyd, Bob Seegar, Toto, Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Stevie Nicks and Robert Palmer, to name just a few. He appears on more than 350 recordings.
In 2005, Payne released his first solo album on his own Hot Tomato Records. Little Feat is still touring, and Bill is also an accomplished photographer, taking many of his photos while on the road with the band.
